Meet Katie Powell, RN
Katie Powell, RN graduated from Lamar University. Katie is a licensed Registered Nurse the state of Texas.
Katie has over 28 years of advanced training, knowledge, and experience in healthcare. She has experience in the ER, Women's Services, Day Surgery, Home Health, and even helped developed the SmartHealth Program, a chronic disease clinic, at Baptist Hospital. For the past 4 years, Katie has owned and managed IV Solutions TX. Through her experiences she has developed a passion for a holistic approach to your wellness.
Katie is a mother of two sons. In her spare time she enjoys giving back to her community and volunteering with multiple local organizations.
Blue Jug Alkaline Water and Health Market was a vision of Katies. She wanted to be able to use the skills and talents God has given her to serve our community, providing affordable health care and be a local resource to better our communities health and wellness. She hopes to be able to also provide our community with a voice in their health care needs.
Meet K. Paul Gerstenberg, D.O.
Dr. Gerstenberg received his premedical degree from Lamar University in his hometown Beaumont, TX. He then went on to the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center at Fort Worth to receive his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 1993. He served his residency at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, then went to serve three years in the United States Air Force at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. After completing his tour of duty, he stayed in Shreveport, Louisiana for two years in private practice. In 2001, he had the opportunity to relocate his wife and four children to Nederland, Texas and build his own practice. Today he has seven children and three grandchildren.
The clinic Dr. Gerstenberg envisioned practices the full realm of family practice, from newborn care to senior care. He has a great interest in preventative medicine, including osteopathic manipulation when needed, and enjoys working with pediatric and adolescent concerns. He offers traditional medical care, but loves to provide nutritional and alternative approaches when his patients are interested, specifically through gerstenberg.clinic WELLNESS.
Dr. Gerstenberg serves as the local health authority for Port Neches addressing Zika virus updates, influenza trends and other public health issues that affect our community. Since 1998 he has also been a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center at Fort Worth-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
